What is your role at Cortijo La Zapatera?
Owner, chef, pool guy, olive and vine farmer, chief maintenance.
Which activities do you find less enjoyable to do?
Cleaning bathrooms.
What is your next project within Cortijo La Zapatera?
Making wine for the first time from our own vineyard.
What is your favorite place at Cortijo La Zapatera?
The pool bar during spring and fall.
What is your favorite restaurant in Canillas de Aceituno?
It is hard to choose between El bodegon de Juan Maria and La Sociedad, so I won't.
What local dish should your guests try?
A 'pitufo catalana'. A small local bread with iberico ham, freshly chopped tomatoes and a drizzle of good quality olive oil.
What is your favorite time of the year?
Spring and fall.
You are an expert at?
Making tortillas and keeping the pool water fresh and clear.
Other than life at Cortijo La Zapatera, share a hobby or two?
Cooking, traveling, diving and skiing.
Personal kryptonite?
A Belgian beer.
